More Information:
In the late 19th century Nicoal Petrera, an ancestor of the current owner, chose the Spinomarino hill, the most favoured site in the Gaudella area in the heart of Puglia for his primitivo vines. Today the estate is run by Filippo Petrera who has continued the founder's passion for this grape variety.
The greatest care is taken in looking after the estate which is run on organic principles and in 1987 they were the first producer to release Gioia del Colle Primitivo as a single varietal wine.
