Our journey into the Supermarket industry began on the 1st May 2020 in response to the COVID crisis. As a group of individuals who deeply care about our local community, we were genuinely upset at the thought of people being unable to leave their homes to get essential goods. Equally, the idea of high-quality producers, whether that be restaurants, farmers, butchers, bakers, or candle makers, all having their trade shattered due to restrictions, didn't sit quite right with us. Ultimately, we saw an opportunity to tap into our distribution network to support these companies. In doing so, we were able to help the local community access goods from the safety of their own homes.
This short-term goal to help vulnerable people morphed into something far more significant than any of us could have possible imagined. It quickly became apparent that people up and down the country want access to fresh, high quality and locally sourced produce. Being a family-run business, we look to work with suppliers who share the same ideology as us; all of our stock is either the best there is, comes from a local source, or has an important ethical message.
Our range is remarkable, and we couldn't be prouder to offer something for everyone. In everything we stock, we look to embrace our Yorkshire heritage, endorse key ethical messages and provide products you can't access elsewhere.
What makes our range so unique is the freshness of it. Our business model involves only ordering stock to demand; this means we can guarantee food can't physically be any fresher. Because of our model, we can be sustainable in our wastage and superior in our quality. Our bakery items are baked fresh every night, our butchers & fish range is collected every morning, and our fruit & veg is never sitting days on end in a warehouse. Due to our unwillingness to hold any stock, it means we only sell the freshest food possible.

Most importantly, when we make a mistake (which can happen in the food industry), we look to put it right. We pledge to always be ready and available on the other side of the phone to immediately rectify any problems.
Arrow Fresh is committed to ensuring that we have a positive impact on both the environment and society as a whole as a company. We do this in many ways; one example of this is sourcing and promoting suppliers with a strong ethical and environmental message. Our business model ensures we have limited waste, but on the waste that inevitably occurs, we give to various local charities across Leeds. We use recyclable boxes, and we encourage all of our customers to hand back their old boxes in the next delivery. Additionally, we avoid plastic wherever we can and have made a conscious decision not to stock any plastic bottles or plastic bags.
