This Waipara Pinot Noir reveals lifted red fruit on the nose, a suggestion of chocolate on the palate and cool climate elgance throughout. We exploit this coastal fruit by capturing a breezy finesse over the classic cranberry and red current aromas giving us a wine with enough bite and texture to be foody but with enough generosity of fruit to be a delicious glass on its own.
Ta Moko is the bold black body art of the indigenous Maori people of New Zealand. Worn on the face, it is a living symbol of identity and origin - MOKOblack is a tribute to this noble culture.
Wines are sourced from vineyards in each sub-regions of Marlborough - the Awatere, Waihopai and Wairau Valleys, as well as the breezier region of Waipara. These valleys have their own micro-climates and terroir which give a unique personality to the vineyards, grapes and finished wines.
Food Pairing:
This Pinot Noir pairs well with duck, game and mushroom dishes.
